Reporting to the Operations Manager, Fulfilment, the Area Manager, I is responsible for the supervision of employees within their department to ensure retention, development, quality, safety, and performance management as well as providing servant leadership and direction for the department. 

 

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all daily activities for the department in an organized, safe, and efficient manner
  • Monitor and provide training, monitors performance KPI’s, and reports metrics of all employees to ensure productivity goals are met
  • Provide management of employees directly or through leads to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management.
  • Responsible for the efficient operations of the WMS (PowerHouse) and assuring ADP data is updated and submitted to HR
  • Contains and/or reduces cost and drives productivity within the department
  • Coordinate, plan, and direct activities for the department in compliance with Turn5, OSHA, and government regulations
  • Strives to achieve the successful attainment of the T5 determined metrics
  • Communicate with Operations Managers with critical issues that may arise.
  • All other duties as assigned

 

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or 2 to 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years’ experience in a related environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems and opportunities, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop sound, effective approaches
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers and employees; ability to present information and make effective recommendations to senior management.
  • Ability to work effectively in both a fast pace entrepreneurial environment, approaching problems and conflicts professionally and constructively
