Whether it’s supplying a unique product that customizes the look and feel of their ride, providing thousands of educational videos for the DIYer or leveraging user generated content to inspire even the most experienced owner, we are obsessed with ensuring we reach as many like-minded gearheads across the globe.

 

To continue our growth path, we need a Sr. Financial Analyst FP&A to effectively drive our forecasting, annual planning, long-range planning, and strategic business development processes.

 

Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, this role will partner with the management team to provide analytical insight, financial discipline, and support the business in delivering results.  The position requires cross-functional work and relationship building across all teams within the business.  We are looking for a team player who will lead by example empower others to make the best decisions, and dive into data and analysis.

Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

 

  • Assist in the long-range planning process, annual capital, operating and overhead budgets for all domains.
  • Support the monthly P&L review process by comparing actuals vs. budget, forecast and prior year, preparing variance reports for business owners, and outlining key performance drivers.
  • Assist with the budget and forecast process, recommending improvements, and actively seeking automation opportunities.
  • Quantify and articulate risks and opportunities in achieving forecasts.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to evaluate strategies, investments, and new business opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to build out operational models, strategic initiative impacts, and “what if” scenarios.
  • Partner across the accounting and finance functions to ensure data integrity and consistency in data across the company (across various sources).
  • Manage allocation methodology by store/ vehicle and provide reporting with insights.
  • Flash reporting on business trends, forecasting production, etc.
  • Special projects as needed.

Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful. So, we need you to have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or related field of study
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant business and finance experience in an FP&A role
  • Ideal candidate with have familiarity in businesses with very high SKU counts and large inventory balances.
  • Strategic knowledge and experience in the ability to model business and financial analysis, including the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Understanding of internal controls over financial reporting (manual and automated)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as data management and manipulation
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs (Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with ERP & BI systems (Great Plains, SAP, Oracle, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Logical thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate financial issues with non-financial professionals.
  • Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently
