To continue our growth path, we need a Sr. Software Developer (Full Stack) to provision, install/configure, maintain and monitor all mission critical systems at Turn5. In this position, you will be the escalation point for more complicated Help Desk tickets, as well as providing mentoring to others on the team.

 

The Sr. Software Developer (Full Stack) is responsible for development tasks related to the eCommerce websites, supporting services, and related applications.  The Developer will work through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to complete work in a timely manner and adhere to business goals. This role works within the development team to create and maintain multiple e-commerce sites and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • New development and support of current and future e-commerce sites across multiple platforms (mobile, tablet, desktop), as well as related service integrations and other projects as assigned.
  • Ability to work full-stack in an ASP.NET MVC, React, Microsoft SQL environment.
  • Analyze business needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of work within time, resource, and cost constraints.
  • Work directly with other internal departments / third party resources or services as needed.
  • Works with the BA/QA/UX team members and direct manager to coordinate and prioritize work.
  • Acting as a resource and mentor to the team, suggesting best approaches with focus on efficiency, performance, and user impact.

Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful. So, we need you to have:

  • 7-10 years of recent professional experience using the technology listed in “Specific Job Knowledge”. A portfolio of prior relevant work and/or skills testing may be required.
  • Experience working in eCommerce will be given a strong preference.
  • Proficiency with the following technologies/software is required:
    • C#, ASP.NET 4.5 or later
    • .NET Core or .NET 5/6
    • MVC 4.0 or later
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, REST, JSON, XML
    • Javascript UI Frameworks (eg. React, Angular, etc.)
    • Microsoft SQL Databases (T-SQL, creating relational database models and stored procedures)
    • NoSQL Databases (querying, caching documents)
  • Knowledge of the following technologies/software is a plus:
      • React
      • React-Native
      • Elasticsearch
      • Microservices
  • Visual Studio 2015 or newer
  • Very knowledgeable of coding efficiencies and best practices in object-oriented programming
  • Hands-on web/mobile development for load-balanced platforms
  • Experience in working with caching systems and coding practices utilizing cached objects
  • Adept with the SDLC methodology in an Agile environment – planning, estimates, documentation, development, testing, and deployment
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes
  • Ability to develop Unit and Integration Tests
  • Excellent problem-solving skills debugging, tracing and performance testing applications
  • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn, thorough, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously – Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are a must
