Under the direction of the Sr. Data Engineer the Data Analyst is charged with creating and analyzing reports for various business units and/or processes.  The Data Analyst is primarily responsible for scoping requirements for reports, developing metrics and dashboards, and collaborating with representatives from across Turn5’s departments to contribute in analytics and data integration projects.

 

This role has a heavy, though not exclusive, focus on supporting the needs of the Marketing team.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst is responsible for all aspects of report development process, and their delivery and availability including, but not limited to:

  • Understand business processes and scope data requirements for reports
  • Develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools, such as Tableau, and data querying languages such as SQL and TSQL.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting analysis for any business function within Turn5.
  • Collaborate with representatives from across Turn5’s departments to contribute in analytics and data integration projects.
  • Triage, prioritize, manage, and resolve any data related requests and issues generated to the IT Department.
  • Assist team in ensuring maximum availability and performance reliability of dashboards and visualizations available via Tableau Server.

 Specific Job Knowledge (Special skills, knowledge of machines, procedures, etc.)

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills: including being able to quality-assure, clean, and analyze large data sets to draw conclusions and propose recommendations.
  • 2-3 years of experience with MS SQL Server 2012+. Specific SQL proficiencies required:
    • Comfortable with implementing basic statements for DDL (SELECT, INSERT, DELETE & MERGE).
  • 1-2 years of experience building data visualizations in Tableau or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Data-centric experience working with various applications implemented within an eCommerce setting (eg. Google Analytics) would be a plus.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in IT, marketing, e-commerce, economics, mathematics, or other related degrees AND at least 2 years’ experience working in similar capacity. BA/BS degree requirement can be substituted for 2 + years of related work experience.
  • Must be able to work in office (Paoli, PA) 6 days per quarter
