The position has the opportunity to build and improve test automation frameworks and support testing e-commerce websites and supporting applications. Individual will test these applications to make sure requirements are met and coordinate with development and all stakeholders. Follow the QA process, collaborate with offshore QA team, troubleshoot issues found, and involved in end-to-end Software Development. This position reports to the QA Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Thorough knowledge of QA best practices and worked extensively in all phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Experience in an agile software development process
  • Experience in testing across various web-based platforms like Desktop, mobile, and mobile applications is required
  • Hands-on coding skills and experience with Selenium, C#, API Automation
  • Thorough understanding of Git flow and CI/CD
  • Participate in manual QA (feature and bug testing) to help with sprint work
  • Identify and report issues via ticketing system with supporting documents for the development team to understand the issue
  • Provide clear reports of the status of tests to allow other staff to see when issues arise
  • Must be able to develop and execute test scenarios/cases from requirements for multiple projects of varying sizes
  • Set up test data for testing needs and Able to provide Testing Effort estimations
  • Must be able to analyze requirements and escalate competing, unclear, and non-testable requirements
  • Participate in requirement analysis meetings to understand the business needs and to provide valuable feedback regarding scope, risk, and effort
  • Work with offshore/remote QA resources to facilitate testing efforts and troubleshoot bugs as necessary
  • Must be able to mentor and assist junior analysts/contractors.
  • Collaborate with BAs and Developers to facilitate development from planning to execution phases
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger group.
  • Detail oriented with strong multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Execute, debug, and maintain automated UI/API tests
  • Define test cases that should be automated based on risk/effort analysis
  • Ability to test on different devices across different platforms and browsers

 

Specific Job Knowledge

  • Experience with the following technologies (or similar) is a must:
  • C#
  • Selenium
  • NUnit
  • HTML
  • JSON/XML
  • Experience creating and deploying Automated tests
  • Experience with test case management systems
  • Analyze error logs and stack traces to aid in identifying root causes of problems
  • Experience in continuous integration suites such as Bamboo/TeamCity
  • All modern internet browsers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
  • Experienced with chrome development tools (or similar) to analyze console errors, network packet contents, and DOM elements
  • Usage of device emulation software such as BrowserStack
  • Hands on testing experience with Windows, Android, Mac, and iOS devices
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Screen capturing software such as Jing, Snipping Tool, etc.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman
  • Create/Run T-SQL queries to validate findings vs acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of the following is a plus:
  • Content Management software (CMS)
  • E-Commerce platforms
  • Automotive experience

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of manual testing experience
  • 4+ Years of automation experience using Selenium/C# or similar
