The Aftermarket Automotive Technician is responsible for the daily support, preparation, and product installation for the video team. This position will work to maximize production through product installation research, physical installation, studio organization/cleanliness, unboxing and re-boxing, and communication with various members in our photo/video production areas. A technician must be responsible, courteous, a good listener, and ready to problem solve each day to keep our fast-paced production moving. This role will directly report to the Video Floor Manager.



  • As an Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of aftermarket parts on company & customer vehicles and provide step by step instructions on camera.
  • Ability to maintain a high volume of installs to deliver on flat rate vs actual percentages and flat rate quarterly goals.
  • Partner with management and team to plan weekly schedule.
  • Follow all vehicle safety standards including completing safety sheets and any other protocols.
  • Follow all KeyPer protocols and reservation standards to transfer vehicles between buildings. Clean, prepare, and position vehicles in studio following safety and style guides
  • Install a wide variety of aftermarket products on car following directions or style guides
  • Pick and organize inventory for shoots. The ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy includes, but is not limited to, tracking, cataloging, serializing, and repackaging products
  • Ensure that studios are kept neat and clean
  • Convey and communicate metrics and other related information with management and team in an effective manner.

Job Knowledge:

  • Mechanical knowledge & capability to perform basic to moderately difficult product installations on multiple generations of different vehicles
  • Knowledge of a variety of tools
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think outside of the box
  • Ability to work individually and with a team


  • Mechanical certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to push & pull items weighing up to 60lbs
  • Ability to lift & lower items weighing up to 60lbs
