Under the direction of the Video Production Manager, the Associate Producer/Editor is responsible for supporting the Production Manager in all aspects of production of content videos.  The AP/Editor will also serve as lead on video shoots, and oversee edits, as assigned by the VPM.  The AP/Editor will edit content videos and occasional product videos for all related websites and social channels (Facebook, YouTube, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Support the VPM in creation of shoot sheets and schedules for content shoots
  • Coordinate with the Content Manager and Video Floor Manager in scheduling of personnel, vehicles and studios for video content shoots
  • Sever as Producer/Director of video content as assigned by VPM- development of content piece with Host & Content Manager; creating video outlines; writing scripts; overseeing edits
  • Serve as second videographer on video shoots as needed
  • Edit raw footage for content into professional-quality videos, with and without supervision from VPM
  • Must be versed in color correction, audio mixing (with music, Host audio, natural sound), and creating basic support graphics (lower thirds). Creation of basic animations (After Effects) is a plus but not required
  • Sources and edits appropriate music and sound effects
  • All other duties assigned by Video Production Manager

Specific Job Knowledge:

  • Understanding balance of company goals, and budget with creativity in video production
  • Comfortable with providing direction to talent, videographers, and outside parties in video shoots
  • Experience with video cameras and lighting a plus
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects and Photoshop a plus
  • Excellent organizational, time and priority management skills
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment, and be open to direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Computer proficient
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Media, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in media production and or corporate video production preferred.
  • Online portfolio of work is a must
