Reporting to the Vice President of Product, Ecommerce, the Web Analyst is responsible for reporting, analysis, strategic insights, and research in support of the UX and product strategy for Turn5’s e-commerce websites.  In addition to working closely with the product management team to provide data insights and measurement of tests and updates to the website, the Web Analyst will share and review insights with marketing and merchandising stakeholders and analysts to support a big picture view of Turn5’s customers, their web behavior, and issues or opportunities as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor KPI’s for the E-commerce websites and apps, with a focus on user segments and key behaviors critical to business growth and customer retention.
  • Report and analyze on the impact of new features or optimization efforts as they are released to the E-commerce websites and apps. Highlight areas of continued opportunity or issues for further product analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with the UX/UI Designer to ensure that tracking structure for new features or changes will work for clean analyses post release.
  • Collaborate closely with UX testing stakeholders to generate and refine hypotheses, ensure test reporting and analyses answer the questions posed by hypotheses clearly, and enrich reporting generated by third party partner as is appropriate with data from internal systems or stakeholders.
  • Use quantitative or qualitative research tactics to support product management initiatives with relevant data and insights, from user case studies and life cycle analyses to general reporting on interaction and trends.
  • Develop and maintain a system for ongoing prioritization of new features and optimization efforts that ensures product management is focused on the highest impact opportunities for sales growth and visitor engagement / retention.
  • Lead the E-commerce initiative to increase knowledge share between E-commerce, Marketing and Merchandising stakeholders and analysts, regularly leading reviews to disseminate findings and discuss takeaways relevant to the full group, and sharing key findings as they come up.

Specific Job Knowledge:

  • Excellent analytical skills: a focus on business question definition should guide both reporting and analysis, from planning to data gathering to reporting to strategic recommendations.
  • Complete proficiency in Excel and Google Analytics
  • A keen understanding of web behavioral data and e-commerce data models.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex topics or findings with clarity.
  • Excellent proficiency with data management and manipulation. Ability to quality-assure, clean, and analyze large data sets efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS in marketing, economics, mathematics, or related degree
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years of experience working with large data sets and conducting analysis
    • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or marketing analysis
    • Full and up-to-date working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
    • 1+ years of experience in SQL, automation, or writing scripts tied to APIs a plus
