Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager is responsible for end to end ownership of E-Commerce software/digital product (website, apps). This role works with business teams, product leadership, UX and the development team to provide solutions and scope, as well as acts as a voice of the business within the development team. You will need to have close collaboration with business stakeholders, understand company objectives, data/trends, and user experience best practices to translate feature requests and objectives into a clear digital product strategy inclusive of both customer facing features and underlying technology.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for digital products (ecommerce platform, website, apps and related), including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Translate product strategy into iterative feature requirements (i.e. Epics, Stories, Business Requirements) for the development by engineering teams
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Analyze market data to develop strategies, and define product objectives in order to evolve the customer experience to deliver business results
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Develop digital innovation that differentiates Turn5 brands and its features across primary market segments
  • Create and drive a strategic vision for the customer experience, architecture and development of Turn5’s E-Commerce platforms

 

Specific Job Knowledge

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required since the Product Manager has to communicate with team members, other departments, upper management and consumers of the company's products
  • Expertise in direct-to-customer digital products and services; direct Ecommerce platform expertise a plus; automotive experience helpful
  • Superior program/project management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
  • Team player who collaborates well with others
  • Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Previous experience delivering in Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize business objectives to features/experiences that drive results, analyze data trends, apply A/B test approaches, and data-driven decision making processes
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven success applying “systems thinking” and designing scalable features that can growth with the company’s needs

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-7 years working with business and technical teams
  • Previous software and web development experience
  • Knowledge of User Experience research and best practices
  • Direct experience with ecommerce platforms and related technology
  • Previous experience with leading (directly or in-directly) in-house development teams of 10+ members.
