Paint Booth Pre-Paint Technician – Get in on the ground floor!

To continue our growth path, we are looking for a high energy, detail focused individual to join our Paint Team. This team of craftsmen take great pride in delivering flawlessly painted auto parts that fulfill customer dreams. The Paint Booth Pre-Paint and Packer performs various duties including sanding, scuffing nd pre-ceaning of raw plastic and pre-primed pandels for automotive quality paint application and is also responsible for packaging painted and raw product fo completiong for daily pick up.

Responsibilities

Here's what you will be doing on a daily basis:

  • Packaging products addording to the supplied Packaging Spec sheets (Correct box, inserts, hardware pack, proper stickers applied, product wrapped properly with protective foam, etc.)
  • Keep completed prepped products organized on the finished shelf.
  • Keep all necessary equipment clean and organized.
  • Maintain detailed log of individual production numbers by recording completed work by SKU, part description, category, etc.
  • Meet daily production goals as set by the direct Lead/Supervisor (Production Goals are subject to change Quarterly)
  • Setup and break down of all necessary parts/jigs as per daily batch schedule.
  • Daily Warehouse maintenance.
  • Safe material handling and operation of equipment.
  • Meet daily production goals as set by the direct Lead/Supervisor (Production Goals are subject to change Quarterly)
  • Aid with the completion of packaging materials daily set up:
    • Correctly identifying and creating hardware kits to specification for each product, based on the scheduled paint batches and products with 100% accuracy
    • Set up pre-made boxes for daily production needs
    • Replenish daily materials such as, foam pouches, bubble, inserts, specified cutting of foam, etc.
  • Organize & palletize finished products to send to the warehouse to be received into inventory
  • Maintain detailed log of individual production numbers by recording completed work by SKU number
  • Maintain daily detailed log for each product, Buff employee number and Rebuff amount for every product that is completed in the Post-Paint area.
  • Abide by all Turn5 and OSHA safety standards and protocols

 

Here’s what you could learn early in your first year (& its just the beginning!)

  • Prepping, wet sanding, and buffing aftermarket parts
  • Wet sanding and buffing painted automotive parts
  • Locating and wet sanding nibs out of clear coat
  • Buffing scratches and restoring clear coats to a flawless finish with a high-speed buffer
  • Inspecting panels during the wet sanding process and repairing or buffing as needed

Once you master this, you could have the opportunity to be trained in Automotive Aftermarket Part Painting (and make some more cash along the way!)

Qualifications

Ready to get in on this ground floor opportunity?  Cool. You’ll need: 

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To be hardworking, flexible and focused with the ability to multi-task.
  • To be able to lift up to 60lbs

Prior experience in a body shop or similar automotive paint field is cool – we still think we can teach you a thing or two and basic computer skills are a plus.
