Lead Photographer

Job Locations US-PA-Norristown


The lead photographer is responsible for the successful execution of all products shot on and off our fleet of vehicles and in the in-house production studio that supports the ever-growing library of images for our e-commerce sites.  They will directly report to the Director, Photo & Video. 


In this role, you will:

  • Ability to maintain a high volume of images shot while mentoring the studio team.
  • Accurately light a multitude of products both tabletop and on multiple generations of vehicles
  • Follow the provided visual standards
  • Determine composition, background, prop and product set up as well as any additional specifications to ensure quality shooting. Ability to creatively shoot lifestyle imagery when presented with opportunities
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage projects concurrently, establish priorities and respond quickly to shifting priorities and needs.
  • Work with the Post Production Manager if there are questions regarding install capability vs. being able to handle the issue in post
  • Directly manage the installation specialists and photographers to problem solve and provide guidance on issues when they arise.
  • Overseeing management of parts inventory to ensure product is in supply for daily photo shoots and fleet vehicles have been reserved.
  • Maintain safety standards.
  • Ensure all studios areas are clean, organized and have the necessary supplies

  • Extensive knowledge of Capture One Pro
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Bridge
  • Advanced lighting skills & techniques
  • Strong visual aesthetic
  • Strong understanding of the retouching process
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong management and issue resolution skills
  • Strong creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of automotive parts
  • Basic tool knowledge




  • Education: AA or BA degree in Photography or related industry experience.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of management experience
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in a studio or production setting

  • Ability to lift & lower items weighing up to 60lbs
  • Ability to remain standing upright on feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions within assigned duty, including, but not limited to the hands, wrists, fingers, back
  • Ability to walk about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
  • Ability to tolerate dramatic temperature changes (heat and cold)
