To continue our growth path, we need an Area Manager for our Putaway team in our fulfillment center in Lenexa, KS. This is a critical leadership role, so we need someone who has “been there and done that” as it relates to providing leadership and direction to the inbound function.


You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across all fulfillment activities.  One minute you might be planning, evaluating, organizing, and delegating the duties for the day to your team, the next minute working with an employee to ensure their productivity goals are met, and the next minute performing extensive analysis and report building. Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.


Year 1 is going to be about:


  • Supervises employees to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management.
  • Monitor department and individual KPI’s to ensure productivity goals are met. Working with employees to improve performance to standards as needed.
  • Executing weekly performance conversations with employees delivering their weekly metrics.
  • Conducting Pre-Communication Meetings (PCM) with receiving associates to discuss daily results, shift and departmental goals, safety/housekeeping issues, and work assignments.


We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a related environment serving in a similar leadership capacity
