To continue our growth path, we need a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the accounting close process and audit process, internal control improvements, partnering with operational teams and other key initiative and projects for the Company.

Responsibilities

 

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Completing monthly, financial statement close and reporting for assigned areas, including accruals, receivables, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, etc.
  • Preparing both complex and non-complex journal entries with limited supervision and ensuring the accuracy of information through well-documented workpapers. Proactively identifying, communicating and resolving any issues or reconciling items.
  • Identifying and clearly explaining the drivers behind balance sheet and P&L fluctuations against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Supporting the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Assisting in the completion of annual financial statement audit of the Company’s consolidated results/position

Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of personal integrity and professional skepticism.
  • Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or other ERP preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive demeanor and a customer-centric focus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience preferred, 2+ years in a public accounting firm (Big 4 or national firm) and 2+ years in private industry corporate accounting. CPA obtained or in progress.
