Turn5 is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce retailers in the Greater Philadelphia area.  Best known for our award-winning e-commerce platforms, AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com, we’ve been engaging car enthusiasts with exceptional products, services, and experiences since 2004.

Our purpose, however, extends beyond selling car parts. We have a commitment to creating meaningful customer experiences at every step of their journey. Whether it’s supplying a unique product that customizes the look and feel of their ride, providing thousands of educational videos for the DIYer or leveraging user generated content to inspire even the most experienced owner, we are obsessed with ensuring we reach as many like-minded gearheads across the globe.

To continue our growth path, we need a Business Systems Analyst to act as a critical liaison between Turn5’s Information Technology development team and business stakeholders, driving updates to our product functionality. Working with teams such as eCommerce, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service, this person will bring business ideas to life.

You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across the entire enterprise in an agile environment to prioritize work within our development team. The business will rely on your expertise to influence how our business needs can be addressed and determining the appropriate technology solution.

Year 1 is going to be about:

    • Analyzing business needs to define value and requirements, which includes digging into business goals for the development team, understanding the impact, and what requirements are necessary to fulfill the requests
    • Acting as the voice of the business within the development team, working through requests and being the point of contact for questions or decisions related to the scope of work
    • Generating issues and documentation for development work and helping the team understand the complexities of any request
    • Working with the QA Analyst to verify that the product created meets all the technical requirements which were produced from the business requirements, including any performance or scaling needs.
    • Ensuring that requests are appropriately prioritized for work, that links with other items in the backlog are identified (e.g. dependencies or natural groupings of work), and that release plans when determined are communicated back to the stakeholders interested.
    • Following through with post-release, making sure that any request, such as training needs or process kickoff, are followed through on after the development team has completed the work

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have

    • 5+ years’ experience working with business owners and technical teams to determine and communicate functional and business requirements
    • Experience facilitating and coordinating project work and dependencies with multiple teams
    • Excellent listening, critical thinking and analytical skills required to correctly identify requirements as opposed to “wants” or assumptive requirements
    • Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira) and flow visualization tools (e.g. Visio).
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals, and build strong relationships
