Turn 5 is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce retailers in the Greater Philadelphia area.  Best known for our award-winning e-commerce platforms, AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com, we’ve been engaging car enthusiasts with exceptional products, services, and experiences since 2004.

Our purpose, however, extends beyond selling car parts. We have a commitment to creating meaningful customer experiences at every step of their journey. Whether it’s supplying a unique product that customizes the look and feel of their ride, providing thousands of educational videos for the DIYer or leveraging user generated content to inspire even the most experienced owner, we are obsessed with ensuring we reach as many like-minded gearheads across the globe.

To continue our growth path, we need a Business Analyst to act as a critical liaison between Turn5’s Information Technology development team and business stakeholders, driving updates to our product functionality. Working with teams such as eCommerce, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service, this person will bring business ideas to life.

You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across the entire enterprise in an agile environment to prioritize work within our development team. The business will rely on your expertise to influence how our business needs can be addressed and determining the appropriate technology solution.

    Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

    • Analyzing business needs to define value and requirements, which includes digging into business goals for the development team, understanding the impact, and what requirements are necessary to fulfill the requests
    • Acting as the voice of the business within the development team, working through requests and being the point of contact for questions or decisions related to the scope of work
    • Generating issues and documentation for development work and helping the team understand the complexities of any request
    • Collaborating with the Technical Analyst to prioritize and link requests, and communicating release plans back to the involved stakeholders
    • Following through with post-release, making sure that any request, such as training needs or process kickoff, are followed through on after the development team has completed the work

    Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have

    • 3-5+ years’ experience working with business owners and technical teams to determine and communicate functional and business requirements
    • Excellent listening, critical thinking and analytical skills required to correctly identify requirements as opposed to “wants” or assumptive requirements
    • Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira) and flow visualization tools (e.g. Visio).
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals, and build strong relationships
