To continue our growth path, we need an Inbound Operations Manager for our fulfillment center in Lenexa, KS. This is a critical leadership role, so we need someone who has “been there and done that” as it relates to directing the overall direction of the Inbound Operations.


You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across all fulfillment activities.  One minute you might be ensuring a smooth run of daily operations, the next minute evaluating KPI’s to manage performance, and the next minute coordinating the inbound carrier schedule with outside contractors. Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.



Year 1 is going to be about:


  • Engaged in daily operations, requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating to receiving team.
  • Providing management of employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management.
  • Extensive adhoc analysis and report building including on-time inbound receipt & put away analysis.
  • Ensuring safety compliance of all warehouse employees along with safety trainings as necessary.
  • Training and developing all new/current/seasonal/temp employees on warehouse practices and procedures, including all safety related items. 
  • Coordinating and resolving issues with inventory control & purchasing department.
  • Researching and compiles historical receiving data and competitive analysis.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the receiving & returns department in an organized, safe and sanitary work environment that is in compliance with Turn5 policies, OSHA and government regulations.
  • Coordinating the inbound carrier schedule with outside contractors to ensure the timely and accurate daily deliveries.
  • Monitoring and striving to achieve the successful attainment of the receiving metrics.


We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:


  • 2-5 years of progressive experience managing a B2C fulfillment operation (e-commerce highly preferred)
  • Superior leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with a focus on developing staff to meet business demands
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities for process improvement
