To continue our growth path, we need an SEO Manager to lead, manage and execute on-site and technical SEO strategies across all 3 of Turn5’s retail websites – covering 7 vehicle markets at varying levels of maturity. If you have developed some serious SEO street cred over the last few years, but are looking to take your craft to the next level, this is an opportunity to collaborate with a team of e-commerce pioneers in an organization that values SEO as a significant contributor to our customer acquisition strategy.  Your mission will be to identify and execute on-site SEO strategies, monitor, analyze, and report on performance, research and map optimal keyword targets, and apply industry best practices that keep us in front of customers and consistently top ranking. 

 

You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically with our in-house SEO, marketing and web development teams, as well as our external SEO agency partners on key strategic initiatives. One minute you might be making on-site changes to maximize SEO impact, the next minute working with our in-house web developers on technical opportunities, and the next minute deciding & evaluating against which metrics are most relevant for each vehicle.  Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Partnering with our CMO, in-house web development team, in-house SEO team, and external SEO agency partners to execute strategic on-site and technical SEO initiatives
  • Providing analysis, addressing KPI trends and progress, and providing recommendations that address gaps in performance and future opportunities
  • Mapping optimal keyword targets to relevant pages, using a variety of tools and competitive research
  • Consulting with internal teams as an SEO expert to propagate best practices for site navigation, internal linking, sitemaps, site speed, mobile first indexing, etc.

Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of SEO marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they relate to SEO
  • Experience with Google Analytics and familiarity Ahrefs, Majestics, ScreamingFrog, DeepCrawl, or similar tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Strong project management, execution and follow through
