To continue our growth path, we need a General Manager to help launch our new distribution center in Kansas City, KS and then own and manage its success from that point forward. This is a critical leadership role, as the success of this facility is integral to our growth as an organization, so we need someone who has “been there and done that” as it relates to facility set up, vendor selection and negotiation, and hiring and developing high performing teams.
You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across all distribution activities. One minute you might be recommending process improvements to senior executives, the next minute evaluating KPI’s to manage performance, and the next minute negotiating with outside vendors to achieve the best relationship of price and performance. Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
