Overview

Turn 5 is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce retailers in the Greater Philadelphia area.  Best known for our award-winning e-commerce platforms, AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com, we’ve been engaging car enthusiasts with exceptional products, services, and experiences since 2004.

Our purpose, however, extends beyond selling just car parts.  We have a commitment to curating a diverse assortment mix that not only contains items that our customers want and need, but also unique, specialty products that inspire even the most experienced owner to think bigger.

To continue our growth path, we need a demand and supply planning expert to lead forecasting efforts and monitor all aspects of delivery efficiency from various channels to multiple fulfillment locations.  You need to be  incredibly analytical and thrive leveraging data to  drive business decisions, but also  passionate about advising and recommending fulfillment improvements across the supply chain to improve delivery efficiency, timing and methods, shipping costs, and the overall customer delivery experience.  All critical components to making sure our customers want to purchase from us again and again!

You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically, overseeing a team of demand planners.  One minute you might be developing logistic strategies and presenting those to executives within the business, the next minute developing reports to monitor critical KPI’s, and the next minute training and developing team members to elevate their performance.  Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Leading and developing logistic strategies across multiple fulfillment locations
  • Developing accurate demand forecasts of all line items for their accountable segments of the business by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained via partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
  • Ensuring consistent integration into the forecast of customer insights, base business trends, merchandising and marketing promotional plans, new item volumes, and seasonal volume with the goal of reducing working capital to minimize forecast error
  • Proactively develop others within the planning organization through the sharing of best demonstrated processes and knowledge transference, providing cross functional leadership across departments to solve for demand related issues
  • Managing monthly sales forecasting while working alongside supply chain partners and monitoring key metrics

  • 6+ years of demand planning experience with at least 3-4 years managing and developing a demand planning team
  • Bachelor’s degree and advanced certifications preferred
