Turn 5 is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce retailers in the Greater Philadelphia area.  Best known for our award-winning e-commerce platforms, AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com, we’ve been engaging car enthusiasts with exceptional products, services, and experiences since 2004.

 

Our purpose, however, extends beyond selling parts for customers to build their dream cars.  We are on a quest to reach as many like-minded gearheads across the globe.  As e-commerce pioneers, SEO has always been at the core of our customer acquisition strategy. You could even say it’s in our digital DNA.  We’ve had tremendous success working tirelessly to grow our marquee brand and our results have established us as an industry leader in SEO.  As we to apply this know-how to grow 2 additional retail properties and several manufacturing brand sites, we need an SEO expert to develop and execute a next generation SEO strategy that keep us in front of customers and consistently top ranking. 

 

 

This is a highly visible and complex role where you’ll work both strategically and tactically to drive positive business outcomes.  At Turn5 you’ll be a team leader, individual contributor and partner to internal teams to maximize impact.  One minute you might be working with our marketing analytics team to track and refine relevant SEO metrics, the next with our in-house web development and UX teams ensuring on-site SEO strategy, the next minute working with our in-house video, SEO content or social marketing teams to keep content in line with our SEO strategy, and maybe even evaluating and refining a link building program.  Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

 

 

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Developing and evolving the strategy for all Turn5 retail properties and manufacturing brand sites.
  • Leading the SEO and cross functional teams to plan, implement and continuously improve all link building, SEO content marketing, on-site and technical SEO initiatives
  • Delivering thought leadership and best practices, evaluating new tools, and identifying trends that keeps us on the leading edge
  • Providing hands on leadership to our SEO team to ensure they are engaged and productive

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • 5+ years of experience managing SEO with a major brand or large website;e-commerce experience strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of direct management experience in an enterprise environment
  • A comprehensive understanding of how SEO fits into the larger marketing ecosystem with ability to communicate, influence and sell vision internally
  • A strong knowledge of content & on-site SEO lifecycle of a website: new site development, early/low-hanging fruit, mature SEO campaigns
  • Proven ability to analyze and measure results of content-centered campaigns (digital preferred)
