To continue our growth path, we need a Business Analyst to act as a critical liaison between Turn5’s e-commerce development team and business stakeholders from our merchandising, marketing, customer service, and IT teams to ensure their technology solutions provide the functionality required to keep us on the leading edge. 

 

You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across the entire enterprise and in an agile environment to ensure that current system enhancements are realized on time and within scope.  One minute you might be conceptualizing enhancements to one of our e-commerce sites, the next minute collaborating with the development team and product owners to ensure an appropriate solution and scope are defined, and the next minute ensuring a product enhancement meets the business need and is adopted as intended.

 

Responsibilities

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Analyzing business needs to define value and requirements 
  • Acting as the voice of the business within the development team including shepherding the work request into the development cycle, ensuring that the value of the request is communicated clearly and that any solution identified meets the needs of the request
  • Generating issues and documentation for development work
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner to prioritize and link requests and that release plans are communicated back to the stakeholders
  • Following through post release to identify training needs or process kickoff/changes, are followed through as well as enlist stakeholders during the UAT stage of work

Qualifications

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have

 

  • 3-5+ years’ experience working with business and technical teams to determine and define functional requirements for software development.
  • Automotive experience required (direct work experience in the market or deep personal experience)
  • Excellent listening, critical thinking and analytical skills required to correctly identify requirements as opposed to “wants” or assumptive requirements
  • Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira) and flow visualization tools (e.g. LucidChart).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals, and build strong relationships
