Overview

Turn 5 is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce retailers in the Greater Philadelphia area. Best known for our award-winning e-commerce platforms, AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com, we’ve been engaging car enthusiasts with exceptional products, services, and experiences since 2004.

Our purpose, however, extends beyond selling car parts. We have a commitment to curating a diverse assortment mix that not only contains items that our customers want and need, but also unique, specialty products that inspire even the most experienced owner to think bigger.

To continue our growth path, we need a Data Analyst to build customized data reports that drive insights and help continuously improve performance for our product, merchandising, vendor and pricing teams. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Sr. Director of Product Management to conceptualize and build the custom reports required to determine product performance and pricing decisions.

You will be challenged to understand the data behind pricing, vendor performance, product, sales and performance across all our products. One minute you might be developing new reports to help our merchandising team predict future vendor performance, the next minute thinking of new ways to present actionable data that give better insights into sales trends or inventory management. Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong drive to find the anomaly in data sets, the curiosity to try new iterations and a desire to look for the best way to improve our data across the organization.

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Developing, updating and maintaining all product management reports and dashboards using data querying languages (SQL) and data visualization tools (Tableau)
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis to help predict product performance or to assist future decisions
  • Analyzing and recommending opportunities for improvement within product management department processes and act to provide further insight or improvements

We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful.  So, we need you to have:

  • BS in analytical field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries for large data sets
  • Excellent analytical skills: including being able to quality-assure, clean, and analyze large data sets to draw conclusions and develop recommendations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to Tableau or other BI platforms
